...a lot of love and nutrition makes.
Isaac was born May 16, 2008, and arrived in the US on September 17 as a 4 month old. This picture was taken after being in our home for less than a week.
Now fast forward another 4 months to January 17, 2009 and take a look at our 8 month old baby boy.
These two pictures say a thousand words. What a blessing he has been to all of us. Isaac has now been in our family for the same amount of time he was in Ethiopia and in the orphanage. Within the past 10 days he has gotten his first and second tooth...his hair is getting long and curly...he's getting pretty good at using a spoon for his rice cereal. He's just a little (not so little now) miracle.
Right now our friend Kristen from Michigan is spending time with her new daugher Buzunesh in Addis Ababa. Later this week our friends the Dunns from Joplin will be traveling to meet their daughter Tarikwa. We keep them in our thoughts and prayers for safe travels and for their new, wonderful lives together as a family.

That's such a good idea for a picture. He is so lucky to be in such a good home. His cousins had fun playing with him this weekend!

Laura, it is so good to see how Isaac is growing. It is also good to see that you made it on the Hope group site. Yeah!!!
Nice job nursing & nurturing him back to health. You are a good momma & pappa! Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done.
Oh, Isaac, Abdisa says Hi, he misses sleeping with you!
Way to go Isaac!
It was good to see you yesterday!
Is there another crib mate out there?? Abdisa??
Keep growing big guy

Hi, I just linked to your blog from Abby & Rogers. We used to live in Nixa. Your boy is absolutely beautiful and what a beautiful job you've done with the weight gain. We have a 16 month old, home nearly one year. Your family is beautiful!
